Two place de la Liberté is a spacious and comfortable house, dating from the middle of the 18th century, located in the village of Trausse-Minervois in the heart of the Minervois. This beautiful village house represents an superior example of a "Maison de Vigneron" that was carefully and beautifully restored preserving much of its original elegance and splender while at the same time adding modern conveniences such as multiple bathrooms, a roof terrace, and professional kitchen space. The house has original Languedoc floor tiles, four fireplaces with marble mantles, and original plaster ceiling roses. In January, we just completed a comprehensive refurnishing and interior decoration of the house. All appliances and furniture are in new condition. The house offers peace and tranquility in the heart of the Minervois. Enjoy its charm and beauty, whilst enjoying the comforts of its modern faculties.
The house is constructed with living spaces on 3 floors. Here is where our guests will find and can enjoy both private and common spaces for their comfort and relaxation. As you move through the house you are absorbed in its distinctive french ambiiance. Everywhere the interior decoratation was carefully chosen to catch you and absorb you into the experience of a traditional Minervois village lifestyle.

Upon entering the house, you are greeted by an entry area that opens on to a long central hall. This hall leads directly to a private courtyard where you can enjoy a cool and refreshing meal or beverage on a warm summer day. On this floor there is a professional outfitted kitchen completely equipped with tools for preparing that perfect meal. The kitchen is outfitted with a professional cooking stove, dishwasher, microwave, and other small appliances. There is a larder (pantry) where the refrigerator and clothes washing machine are located. There is also an electric clothes dryer, air drying rack, clothes iron, and ironing board available. We have equipped the kitchen with a large number of good quality knives and kitchen tools.
Also on this floor, there is the lounge with stereo sound system, color television with satellite TV and DVD. The lounge is decorated in a traditional french style that includes a mix of antique and modern furnishings. As you leave the lounge and continue toward the rear of the house you will come to a separate dining room that can seat up to 8 comfortably. Opposite the dining room are the stairs to the upper floors. Outside on this level is a private courtyard where an evening or afternoon drink or meal can be taken.
On the second floor (1st in Europe) there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom at the end of the hall is the wine room. It has a double bed for two people. This bedroom also has its own fireplace. The wine room is dedicated to the wine lover. The cabernet red wall and red floor add to this ambiance. The wine room is very bright with a large window opening onto the place Liberté. Adjacent to the wine room iis the main bathroom with bathtub and shower. Across the hall is the lilac room. The lilac bedroom is a delicate room decorated in a lilac motif with black iron bed. There is also a black marble fireplace and traditional red floor tiles. A large window makes this room light and airy. This bedroom has a queen bed for 2 persons and en suite bathroom with shower. Both the wine room and lilac room have ceiling fans.
On the third floor (2nd Europe), you find a third bedroom, bathroom with shower, upstairs lounge, sun room and roof top terrace. Bedroom 3 is the rustic room furnished with a double bed. The rustic room has a raw feeling with its large exposed wooden beam and african decoration. The upstairs lounge is one of our favorite rooms. It is the room for artists. As you sit in the chairs you can view out across the roof tops of the village and see the Montagne Noir (Black Mountains). It is a great room to read, paint, write, or just sit a contemplate quietly.
